Brief Explanation For this job I had a Customer whose lever lock internal spring was broken in two and needed repair. A lot of people just have the spring replaced if I have the right one on hand. If not, Its still pretty quick and easy to change the whole lock. However, this wasn't an option for this customer.

This was a pretty cool lock that was very old and discontinued. Not only that but everyone in the neighborhood had these locks! It was definitely important to make the current lock still workable for the customer.

Cory stuck with the problem I had with the lock until it was solved. Which was really good and he didn't try to pass me off to some other type of gear that I didn't want. He was just really really good. I will definitely be recommending him.

I Take the Time Needed to Get it Done Right

Most of my jobs are quick jobs, this one took some extra time since the customer needed to keep the same lock. I searched all of my suppliers, spoke to hundreds of locksmiths nationwide, researched the internet and could not find a new spring as the lock is many years old and discontinued. A replacement lock of the same quality would cost about $200. So, a local custom spring shop Lee’s Springs, donated some prefab spring steel and I fabricated a new spring.

He was very grateful that I took the time to find a solution under what seemed to be impossible circumstances.
